Ejari explained for landlords

Ejari is Dubai's system for registering tenancy contracts with the competent authority, making them officially recognised. Landlords and tenants should register (and renew) the tenancy through Ejari. Keep your Ejari certificate with the tenancy record so it's easy to find at renewal or if a dispute arises.

Why registration matters

A registered tenancy is needed for many services (utilities connections, visa processes) and gives both parties a recognised record. Rules and processes can change, so check the current requirements with the official authority.

Keep the paperwork together

Store the Ejari certificate alongside the tenancy agreement and contact details, so renewals and any disputes are straightforward. This guide is general information, not legal advice.
